Moja-Okuri (Sending-off Ritual for Evil Spirits)
Sensoji Temple holds a Buddhist ritual called Onza-Hiho-Darani-E every January. This ritual is a seven-day series of prayers for peace in the world and Japan. And Moja-Okuri is Onza-Hiho-Daranie’s final prayer.

Asakusa Hatsuka Ebisu
Asakusa Shrine enshrines Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japan. And Asakusa Hatsuka Ebisu commemorates the first Ebisu day of the year. We believe that if you visit and pray for Ebisu on this day, you can connect strongly to this deity.
